I’m Brook-
Accepting new couples
What is therapy with me like?
Therapy with me is a place where you can finally set things down, the pressure, the expectations, the parts of yourself you’ve been carrying alone. I approach this work from the belief that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered as you make sense of your experiences. I’ll be real with you, offer thoughtful reflection, and name patterns that might be hard to see from the inside.
When I work with couples, I draw from the Gottman Method to help you slow down, really hear each other, and rebuild the sense of “us” that often gets buried under stress, resentment, or miscommunication. I hold the space with warmth and clarity so both partners feel understood, and name the patterns that are keeping you stuck with honesty and care.
Who do I work with?
I work with adults and couples navigating the complexities of relationships and major life transitions. I’m especially drawn to supporting couples and individuals carrying the emotional weight of caregiving, military family stressors, or co parenting dynamics within their family system.
My impacting identities:
I am a cisgender woman, a spiritual person, and a parent.
I have lived experience with:
Coparenting and blended family dynamics (aware, knowledgeable, personally experienced)
Military family culture, transitions, and stressors (aware, knowledgeable, personally experienced)
Parenting and caregiving within disability and neurodivergent contexts (aware & knowledgeable, personally experienced)
I am best fit for a client who:
Adults and couples who want a therapist who is compassionate but also real. If you’re looking for a therapist who can hold space for both tenderness and truth, someone who listens deeply and reflects honestly- we may be a great match.
I am not a good fit for:
I’m not the right match for clients wanting quick fixes or highly directive advice. And while I adore the kids in my life, I don’t work with children or teens.
What makes me unique?
Before becoming a therapist, I've spent years supporting families through empowerment‑based work, systems navigation, and advocacy. I’ve sat with families in moments of overwhelm, celebrated small victories that felt huge, and helped people find clarity in systems that often feel impossible to navigate. That work taught me how much strength people carry, even when they can’t see it, and how powerful it is to have someone in your corner who truly sees you.
Did you know?
I believe deeply in small comforts- a quiet moment, a good laugh, and sometimes a bowl of ice cream that fixes more than it probably should. I’m also someone who naturally reads the room, noticing the little shifts and unspoken things that help me show up in the ways people need.
Do you have any pets?
I have one dog who lives for our walks, and three cats my husband brought into the relationship who mostly judge me from across the room.
My favorite hobbies are:
I’m happiest with a good book in hand, at a peaceful yoga class, going for a walk near the water, or a chance to go horseback riding. And whenever I travel, I make it my mission to find the best local coffee spot.
