SOCIAL WORK CLINICAL SUPERVISION

We take supervision seriously because we’ve seen what it can do, for better and for worse. Done well, it builds skill, clarity, and confidence. Done poorly, it’s all evaluation and no mentorship, or a bad group project you never asked to join. We’re here for the first one.

We offer both individual and group supervision for Maryland social workers working toward clinical licensure. Jules and Starling are Board Approved Supervisors for Social Work in Maryland, and Starling is also a Board Approved Supervisor for Counseling in Maryland.

In supervision with us, you do not have to perform competence to deserve support. We welcome humor, encourage authenticity, and make room for your whole messy, brilliant, human self, not just the polished professional mask. The goal is practical growth and steadier clinical confidence, without sacrificing your wellbeing along the way.

If you’re interested, we can start with a brief virtual meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a good fit.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR LGPCS IN MARYLAND

Starting out in your counseling career is exciting, but let’s be honest, it is like hiking a trail you thought was a loop, only to realize it actually goes up a mountain. The right supervision can make all the difference. Starling provides individual clinical supervision for Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPCs) in Maryland, and Starling sometimes offer group supervision as well. Reach out to check current availability.

In Maryland, LGPCs need 100 hours of direct supervision with a Board-approved licensed supervisor after completing their Master’s degree. Up to 50 of those hours can be completed with a Board-approved non-LCPC supervisor. In other words, you have options and we can make it work.

Supervision with Starling is not just about logging hours and checking boxes. It is about shaping your professional identity, building confidence, and figuring out how to do this work without burning yourself out. Her goal is to make supervision supportive, collaborative, and yes, sometimes even fun, while helping you grow the skills you need to thrive in this field.
